About Us

Founded in 2017 by owner Taylor Patterson, Steamboat Precision is a truly local welding and fabrication shop that was born out of a passion for the metal arts and for the community of Steamboat Springs, CO.  Harnessing MIG

and TIG welding in his custom shop, as well as offering mobile welding services and CNC plasma cutting, Taylor and his team are happy to discuss, plan, and bring your next project to life.

A lifetime of experience began with growing up in his Dad’s machine shop and his Grandfather’s garage building cars. Eager to learn and explore the possibilities that his passion can create, Taylor continued tinkering with all things Metal; working in a custom fab shop for years, late nights in the garage and shops, and continuing his education and broadening his skillset and certifications with professional instruction. 

Touring around Steamboat Springs you will notice the diverse impact Steamboat Precision has had on this mountain town. Step off the Gondola on the top of the ski resort and cruise down his custom fabricated stairs to begin your ski adventure. Apres ski while bellying up to a bar that Taylor helped create, or on a patio with the beautiful steel railing and functional gate work. Go back to your lodging at the Ptarmigan House and notice his custom-made balconies for the entire building. Grab a hot pizza out of the wood-burning stove from the mobile barn-inspired food truck he fabricated for Mountain Tap Brewery. Or admire his custom artwork and detail that is seen around homes and in town, cut from his industrial grade plasma cutter. The list goes on and is ever-growing, Steamboat Precision brings high-quality metal work and detail to the next level, with no project too big or small.
